After converting quite a few MK4 astras to the upgrade of Astra VXR rear brake calipers and discs it was clear that there was a more sensible option for the parts .
With the Astra VXR rear setup getting more and more difficult / expensive to obtain , we set ourselves the challenge of making some custom carrier plates .
These carrier plates are not only designed for you to mount VXR rear calipers on your astra G - much better than that .
They are designed so that you can keep your standard calipers on the rear ( bosch or lucas ) and run the bigger rear discs from the astra VXR .
this enables you to keep the costs of the conversion right down through buying less parts , it is also far more easy to fit as you will not have to bleed the brakes after having to swap the calipers over - in turn this makes these plates a better solution for people wanting to fit these at home with minimum hassle.
This kit compromises of a pair of Pagid Zinc coated discs + 2 steel brake plate adaptors .
The brake plates are water jet cut from 43A steel plate then CNC machined to finish .
Most kits require the use of the Astra VXR rear caliper however this one allows you to retain your standard calipers and still run the VXR 278mm rear disc
