Laser cut and folded aluminium bracket for the AEM 1 gallon tank and high pressure pump

Custom made to allow easy install of the AEM water methanol injection system into the rear end of a Vauxhall Astra rear seat – this bracket will also fit many other cars too if you are wanting to install the same meth kit to your car however we can not confirm for every type of car.

A common issue when installing the kit is where do you fit it ? Lots of the newer cars do not feature so many flat places that you have good access to install such a kit. A bracket system is the best way.

After installing a few of them you soon get to mounting the whole kit onto a base plate being the best idea , and this is what we did !

Save yourself some hassle and use this bracket. By fitting the tank more upright on the back of the rear seat it is far more easy to complete every task you need to do and makes the install much smarter all round.

These fans are in most cases about the biggest you can get in the front end of a Vauxhall – they are actually just about big enough that one of these would work but a pair makes for far superior cooling,


The standard radiator cooling pack is pretty decent , it features a large fan with decent motor and multi stage switching circuits . In a lot of cases where we have changed the radiator , intercooler and also on a larger type turbo setup , there is just not enough room to carry on using the stock fan arrangement . As you are trying to pack in a decent setup into little room it pays to have decent parts trying to do the job .

These fans are really the only fans worth fitting , with a pair of these fitted then the coolant temp will fall fast as soon as the temperature gets too high keeping things much safer.

These are best used on our bracket – this can be used with either one or two fans – it will require some rewiring to enable these to be connected up – We connect them up to the main engine full speed side of the fan system , with a cooler thermostat we also adjust the mapping so that the fans will come on sooner keeping your engine at a lower average temperature in line with the cooler thermostat

This has been designed to work with a specific fan in mind – it may well work for other fans with some minor redrilling however this is advertised to be used with a pair of Spal fans that we ourselves supply

Laser cut twin fan bracket for Astra VXR type radiator, with twin Spal fans, full kit including connectors . This kit has been designed and tested around Pro alloy radiators and the Airtec intercoolers. This kit may fit other radiators but the only one we can claim it will fit perfectly on will be the pro alloy versions- these are the only radiators that we have known to be very good quality and very good on size and fit.

Beyond a certain point the cooling system can no longer cope with what is required , or the front end turbo system has been changed to use something that requires the rear engine fan removing. This is where you are left trying to squeeze in a neat cooling package between the radiator and the intercooler . With usually around the 62mm space left available between the radiator and intercooler , getting a decent setup that will fit in that space is a hard challenge. This kit comes to around 58mm tall , it is about as slim and as powerful as we can make it. 

Going to a slim line fan can often mean your are using a version with a smaller motor, meaning the fan is not as powerful or not powerful enough – the only fans that we have found to work well are the ones that we choose to sell. They are all made by Spal and this is of great importance, a lot of thought and design goes into making a decent fan , its often overlooked by other makers and it shows drastically in performance. These fans will actually move some air and cool your engine down fast.


We opted for running a pair of these in our kit, having some redundancy is not a bad idea, doubling the cooling capacity straight away is always an added bonus. This kit was designed around the Astra VXR Pro alloy Radiator that we supply , we have installed and tested several of these now with only great results.


This kit does require some custom wiring to make this work , we wire the pair of fans both to the full speed engine side fan control, we can also program this differently at the time of mapping to account for a different thermostat that you may have.

Laser cut and press brake folded for an accurate and rigid fit , this bracket will not let the fans rub against the radiator causing issues further down the line. It is made to be as good as we can make it.
 

Used and tested between 450 – 800 HP - unless making some really drastic changes to things then this setup is ideal for most performance track based vehicles.
