RND Maff-less inlet pipe for the Z20 engine
This inlet pipe is for our in house turbo kits that use a 3” turbo inlet side. Its quite simple in construction as we have the option to remove the air flow meter when tuning – this inlet is not for everyone . Check with your tuner first to make sure they are happy to do this. Keeping the inlet simple but very free flowing is ideal for making good power.
We find that beyond a certain point its very difficult to rely on the airflow meter at times. Turbo surge or sometimes there is just not enough room to install things nicely.
Removing the air flow meter allows us to use a much larger filter if needed , this is a big bonus over 450HP – with a better turbo inlet and larger filter the turbo system will often make more overall power .
