F23 Short Shift Adapter

 

This adaptor is to fit the f23 gearbox found on 2.2, z20let and most diesel models of Astra including vans 
 
A simple adaptor that sits on the end of the standard shift assembly and extends the bottom end, which in turn reduces the amount of throw needed to shift from front to back.
 
Easy to fit, simply remove the shifter unit from the car sit this adaptor over the end and tighten the small allen screw, re fit gearstick and short shift till your hearts content. See the fitting guide for more fitting info.
 
Precision CNC machined from high quality steel so they are more than tough enough. Once you have this fitted driving any other Astra without one will just feel wrong!
 
These are excellent quality and will shorten gear change time
 
Some washers may be needed to fit under the shifter assembly, some minor trimming of the shifter housing may also be required however i assure you this is very easy to do and everyone who has done this will more than agree that its worth every minute of it!

Flywheel bolts play an important role in the performance and safety of race cars and street machines alike. That's why the fastener experts at ARP have developed special bolts that are far superiour to OEM hardware.

These premium grade Pro Series bolts are made from a material originally developed for NASCAR use, and have a tensile strength rating of 200,000 psi. They are forged from aerospace alloy and heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining. They feature an exclusive, low profile, 12-point head design and a slightly larger than OEM shank diameter for increased flywheel register.

This is for all 6-bolts, to your door.

Supplied as original equipment to the Ford Motor Company for the 300bhp Ford Focus RS, the Quaife automatic torque biasing (ATB) helical gear limited slip differential (LSD) is a direct replacement for your car’s factory ‘open’ unit.

Backed with the peace of mind of a lifetime warranty, the Quaife ATB helical gear limited slip differential is fully automatic and progressive in operation and unlike plate style units the Quaife ATB never locks, but seamlessly and smooth transfers power and torque away from a spinning wheel to the wheel enjoying the most traction.

In practice this significantly reduces torque steer, understeer and steering ‘snatch’ in front wheel drive applications compared to a plate style limited slip differential.

On the road and track this translates into reduced wheelspin and torque steer, less understeer during cornering and improved straight line acceleration. On the track the Quaife ATB cuts lap times dramatically and improves standing quarter performance.

Perfectly suited to high power front drive cars, but equally at home in rear and four wheel drive vehicles, the Quaife ATB helical gear limited slip differential is a direct replacement for the original factory ‘open’ unit and requires no special oils or servicing.

This clutch gives a decent increase in torque holding capability yet retains the original drive ability of the OE clutch, with only a mild increase in pedal stiffness.

 

Helix guarantee it to take 280lb/ft of torque all day long, we have run about 400 LBS before we actually start cooking this clutch , good all round clutch for a daily driver

This clutch will take a lot more abuse than the organic lined ones. They do, however, become a lot more aggressive at biting, especially this 4 Paddle one. Brilliant for a more track focussed build, but can be a bit tiring to drive in traffic every day. Some people love them for road use though, it is what you get used to I suppose!

 

The 6 paddle one lessens the aggression slightly as there is more surface in contact with the pressure plate, and also lasts a while longer due to this,  we offer both so that you can make your own mind up on which you would prefer.

 

Helix guarantee it to take 330lb/ft of torque all day long, we have pushed this clutch way past that. Often ran at over 400LBS without issue , out of the paddle clutch kits the 4 paddle with hold more torque . The 6 pad will always slip before the 4 pad version

This clutch will take a lot more abuse than the organic lined ones. Paddle clutches do take a little getting used to though, as they are a lot more aggressive at the biting point. Please bear this in mind if you are going to use it on a daily driver as some people don't get along with them in traffic. Conversely, some people love them for road use!

 

The 6 paddle one lessens the aggression slightly as there is more surface in contact with the pressure plate,  we offer both this and the 4 Paddle so that you can make your own mind up on which you would prefer.

 

Helix guarantee it to take 330lb/ft of torque all day long, we find that the limit of the 6 pad is about the 400LBS - if planning to be up over the 400 LBS then we would advise the 4 pad , or maybe something better again !

The clutch from the older C20LET fits perfectly, and holds more torque!

We fit these in place of worn Z series clutches.
