Z20 Balance Shaft Delete Kit

This kit contains the parts required to remove the problematic and heavy balance shaft arrangement from the bottom of your Z20LET engine.

The balance shafts were fitted to try to smooth out the Z20 engine a little, but have hardly any effect other than slowing down the responsiveness and being a potential nightmare when they go wrong. They also weigh a lot and tend to froth the oil up due to their presence in the sump. Even Vauxhall did away with them in the higher performing Z20LEH (Astra VxR) engine.

This kit contains all of the parts required to remove them on the LET engine;

Full mains girdle (OEM)

Windage tray / baffle plate (OEM)

Oil pick up pipe (OEM)

High tensile 12.9 rated Cap head bolts

Grub screws for plugging old oil ways

You will need to get the oil ways in two of the mains caps drilled and tapped with an M8 thread. This is pretty easy to do if you have the tools and skills, otherwise go and see your freindly local machine shop and offer one of the lads some beers for it done. Uprated High tensile Mains Bolts for Z20 Engine

This full set of high tensile steel bolts will ensure that your high power Z20's crank stays where it should be.

Come complete with instructions for fitment.

We use these in most of our Z20 builds, upto about 400hp

Colder than the standard "glow plugs" fitted by Vauxhall, ideal for fast road / track use.

Gap to around .7mm. If your ignition system can't handle this then try a new coil pack, or stop running it so rich!

Laser Cut from 6 mm thick 304 stainless steel , this breather base plate is the ideal start for people interested in making thier own crank breather system 

Hole suited to 25MM diameter tube

Replacement Front Boost control valve  ( BCS )  for the astra GSI and VXR

Fits Opel / Vauxhall 4 cylinder 2.0 16V Z20LET Z20LEH engines. 
With this set the risk of valve float and a possible engine failure is minimized.
Recommended for engines with series and racing camshafts and over 7600 RPM.
Titanium retainers are very light and strong, helps eliminate valve float. Weight is only 10g.

Turbo Brace developed for use on Nortech V band manifold - Gen1 GT28 type turbo

A turbo support is always a good idea to take some of the weight off the end of the manifold, meaning a much longer life to the manifold.  

A flexible brace type mount should alwas be used on a turbo system, as it is intensly heated, things tend to expand and contract. Solid type brace systems will only lead to cracking sooner.

This flexible support type brace for the Z20 series engine, running a Nortech V band manifold system (others TBC )  with a first generation Garrett series turbo.  Generally in this frame the compressor housing bolts seem o be imperial sizes so we will send out the apropiate bolt for your kit. 

Attaching to one of the compressor cover bolts at the side of the compressor cover most near the engine block , this brace then utilises one of the engine block RWD engine mount configuation bolts to take the weight of the core,  set up well you should be able to remove your manifold and the turbo more or less stay in place with only the brace and the downpipe.

Not having the weight of the turbo itself hung on the manifold will make a large difference in it's life.

Utilises the same quailty spherical bearing as we use in our suspension parts , full stainless steel hardware package. 

Pauter X-Beam Racing Con Rods for Vauxhall Z20 Engine

If you are building something serious then these are the way to go for your conrods.

Made to take some serious abuse, Pauter stand by them upto 1000hp and 9000Rpm. It is upto you if you wish to test them further than this!

Price is for a set of four, these come complete with Custom age ARP 625 bolts.

Adjustable alternator bracket for the Z20 series engine using the standard type alternator.

This adjustable bracket allows the alternator to be rotated back approximately 20mm.

Includes all mounting hardware, all hardware is stainless steel except the  main spacer, this is aluminium and annodised black to prevent corrosion.

The bracket itself is CNC Laser cut from 4 MM thick stainless steel plate.

Z20 - Cool running Thermostat - Including housing and seal

This thermostat opens at a lower temperature than standard.

The standard thermostat regulates the coolant temperature to around 90°C, with the occasional jaunt above 100°C! This is good for emissions, but not much else.

This thermostat regulates the coolant temperature to around 80-85°C, which increases detonation resistance due to decreased charge and combustion chamber temperature.

Ideally we like to re-program the fan switching temperatures too, to take in to account the lowered running temperature. This is not strictly necessary though, the fans will just work as standard.
